Event Workers

Jobs available:

  • Route co-ordinator
  • Food Stop manager
  • Registration support
  • Finish line greeter

Route co-ordinators look after the riders on the road so are equiped with first aid, spares, extra signs and food. They act as marshals for tricky points on the route and as broom wagon drivers.

The job is usually all day - 7.30am to 5pm though half-day options may be possible. Use of your own car (with capacity to carry a couple of passengers and their bikes is essential).

A First Aid qualification is an advantage (and something Rideventures can pay for).

REQUIREMENTS - route co-ordinators need to be problem solvers with some experience of outdoors events and a cheerful approach to participants needs.

Food stop, Registration and Finish-line greeter jobs are shorter in duration (typically between 2 and 4 hours) and at one fixed location. It would be best to have a car to get to that location (which may be some distance from the event HQ).

REQUIREMENTS - food, registration and finish-line people need to be reliable and sociable.

All event workers will be fully briefed in writing about their duties well before the event day.

Pay and Benefits

  • Food stop/Registration/Greeter = £9 per hour
  • Route co-ordinator = £12 per hour
  • Travel expenses - 25p per mile
  • Free entry to a Rideventures sportive
